Leanne Reid

Leanne joined Smith & Graham in 2015. Prior to this, Leanne worked for a firm based in County Durham and North Yorkshire for 4 1/2 years and completed her training contract during this time.

Leanne attended Hartlepool Sixth Form College before undertaking the Law Exempting Degree at Northumbria University, graduating in 2010 with an Upper Second Class Honour Degree.

Leanne is based at our Peterlee office and has a keen interest in children matters. Leanne represents parents, grandparents and other family members within care proceedings and also deals with cases involving applications for Child Arrangement Orders which were previously known as Residence and Contact Orders.

Leanne represents clients following the breakdown of a marriage or civil partnership as well as the breakdown of a cohabiting relationship. This can include divorce, financial matters and matters relating to domestic violence.

In her spare time, Leanne is a season ticket holder for Hartlepool United and enjoys going to the gym, especially taking part in zumba classes.

Gavin obtained an Exempting Law Degree at Northumbria University in 2012 before completing his training contract at a firm in North Tyneside. 

Gavin Cochrane

Gavin obtained an Exempting Law Degree at Northumbria University in 2012 before completing his training contract at a firm in North Tyneside.  

Gavin joined Smith and Graham in 2017. He is a member of Resolution and deals with a wide variety of family law issues including divorce, financial matters, domestic violence and cohabitation issues as well as issues concerning children – both private disputes and cases where social services are involved.

Gavin services our free family clinics from both our Hartlepool and Peterlee offices.

Daniel Clark

Prior to joining Smith & Graham, Daniel spent 5 years at a Gateshead firm, specialising predominantly in Family and Criminal Law work, carrying out work in all areas of family law, including care proceedings, divorce, Private Law Children Act matters and Family Law Act Injunctions.

Daniel became Police Station Accredited in 2014 and has regularly represented clients in the police station since that time. He qualified as a solicitor in April 2016 and now represents clients in the Magistrates Courts in both Criminal and Family matters.
